I think it's worse in the sense of the source of the issue is the HC's bestie and also the HC himself. We can at least pretend that a new play caller can maybe sort of fix the incredibly talented offense. The '23 defense was both bad talent AND their fix it move was one of the NFL's worst coaches.

You can say it's the OC's fault and sure it's that too, but the HC gives them nothing. He's not a great game planner, he doesn't call plays, their vibes are rancid, his in-game decision making veers between cowardly and incoherent, they're undisciplined, and everyone seems to hate each other.
