furthermore if the only way to get a moderation appeal heard within a reasonable time is to be a public person with a big audience like me or nathan there is no real appeal process and you're once again prioritizing not getting bad press over actually caring for your users

There were well over 9,000 porn bots created yesterday. It's impossible to automatically add them all to a moderation list in real time without hitting a rate limit.

This is utterly unsustainable, even with the auto-acknowledger running every ten minutes. These are almost entirely out of scope reports of porn bots.

Yes, but it's also true that this app is 99% dependent on Bluesky PBC and their decisions because so many people have their PDS.

So in reality, if you have an independent application, but 99% of the content is on Bluesky servers anyway, it's still rather centralized.

Listen @aaron.bsky.team I’ve been pretty measured about the spam tag by Bluesky on here towards Gazan accounts even if I disagreed with it- but now just accounts from Gaza who are getting banned for no reason. @monahijazi.bsky.social has been on here for months and has tons of friends.
