Hello and thank you for the tag as always! I've been absent lately due to health stuff (thus no Halloween plans :c) but hopefully that's turning around soon. In the meantime, here are the most recent pages of my comic - Reyes is having a lovely time, he just won't admit it 🤭
Panel 1: Elevator doors slide open with a *ding* as Reyes reaches the top floor of the garage. Reyes(VO) I know, I know. Panel 2: Reyes looks around the small hallway as he approaches Rune's office - hard to tell if it's out of paranoia or interest since he's never been up here before. Reyes(VO): Obviously it was a trap. Again, I'm not *that* stupid. Panel 3: Reyes crosses his arms, huffing as he hesitates slightly in front of her door. Panel 4: A hologram serves as her nameplate, simply stating that the office behind the door belongs to 'Ivy' Reyes(VO): But if I didn't go, I'd look like a bitch in front of the whole garage. Besides... Panel 5: Reyes finally opens the sliding door, having made up his mind. Reyes(VO): She had my shades. Those were expensive. Panel 6: Reyes enters Rune's office - it's spacious and cozy, with everything in shades of black, gray, purple and pink. Silk lanterns with a cherry-blossom design seem to be the main style of lighting, besides fairy lights along the back wall - there is a large desk with a computer at the back, a seating area at the front with a fuzzy rug, coffee table, chairs and large couch, and a hanging chair in the corner piled with pillows, with more strewn around it on the floor. Panel 1: Another view of Rune's office - there's a huge window behind her desk, with a high view of the huge city (you still can't see all of it). Next to the desk is a little sitting area and coffee nook, and the whole office is lit by silk lanterns. Reyes (thinking): Nice digs. Pays to be the boss, I guess. Panel 2: Reyes spots his sunglasses sitting on the desk. Reyes (thinking): Aha! Panel 3: As Reyes walks over to retrieve them, something moves under the carpet behind him. Nothing seems to be under it. Panel 8: Reyes sits back up on his haunches, puzzled, and completely oblivious to Rune who is now somehow standing directly behind him, arms crossed and a smug smile on her lips. Reyes (thinking): The hell...? Panel 1: Rune grabs Reyes from behind, pinning one of his arms behind his back and shoving his head down onto the coffee table roughly - he's too shocked to react much immediately. Panel 2: Reyes snarls back at Rune from under her hand holding him down.
