And a lot of creating things is getting lucky over and over repeatedly. I’ve been lucky in the past on projects, but so many things I’ve tried could never find the luck to take off.
Some close friends to be get a little frustrated in my tendency to priortise luck in my own career, as they know how I work. I try to explain that work just is buying a lottery ticket. It's necessary, but certainly not sufficient. I know many folks who've worked as hard but the dice have been cruel.

Incredibly discouraging to have stream fail so disastrously today. Was having a great time and then couldn’t keep a constant bitrate for more than 5 minutes even after 10-20 attempts. Hard not to feel like *I* failed even though it was entirely out of my control.

Just skimmed a post and for a moment mixed up that new Kirby game with the big extraction shooter and now I want Kirby: Arc Raiders where you play an extraction shooter like normal but if you kill a player you can consume and become them.

Had one of my worst fears realized today - was working on cleaning the gutters in the backyard, came around the house... and the door to the garage was open. Both dogs were running around the neighborhood. Thankfully they both came home and are unharmed but... wow.
