127 at the last count.

Oddly, it's limited not by storage space, but by how much fits inside the largest real-mode memory model of Borland Turbo C++ for DOS....

There's a custom box at the back that is driven by the parallel port. D0 high selects MT32, D1 high selects SC55. After a couple of logic gates to prevent selecting both at once, they drive a set of transistors which in turn activate relays.

We couldn't possibly comment :)

For avoidance of doubt though, we do of course have a legitimate boxed edition of Monkey Island.

But a version where the copy protection can be bypassed with "just enter anything" is just easier for our visitors, than looking up a pirate in a manual.

Opinion is VERY divided among our volunteers.

It's mostly the slightly younger ones who started at the Amiga who favour the C64c.

The perfect DOS game music system.

(Sadly RCM is lacking the moolah to invest 😞 )

Fun fact: You can do this with TZX files too.

The spec defines the byte sequence that starts a TZX file as a "continuation block", just so this can be done.

Absolutely. And if it had the two-player mode, it would either match the Amiga version, or slightly beat it.

Much Archie love at RCM 😀

I'm afraid pretty much all the RCM volunteers are shared in the view that the Amiga is the definitive and best edition ever.
