It's so worth it! You can even do it in the oven if you don't have a smoker, just need to tweak it a bit. Costco has whole pork bellies for $35 :3

Frequently and it's good to keep it on hand if it happens. They said to take note of how long it takes for simptoms to improve and let that decide if it happens again when to bring them to the vet if symptoms don't improve in the expected time.

Yeah Gogi is 15 too and it terrified me because she was her normal self an hr before. I had never seen the sudden onset like that so to ensure it was not life threatening, I took her to the er.

Meclizine 25mg is avail OTC as Dramamine, also comes in 50mg that can be cut in half.
Cerenia 60mg is only really needed if they're throwing up. Gogi isn't but they gave it to her as a precautionary measure.

She is on Day 3 since she first exhibited the symptoms and she has continually improved each day. I can send you the recordings from the vets talking about the issue, if you're not able to have them looked at.

One of ours, Gogi, literally just had this happen. As Syber said, the emergency vet said it was a "Idiopathic Vestibular Issue".
I freaked out when it first happened. Currently, they have her on Meclizine 25mg for vestibular issue, 1/day, 7 days. Cerenia 60mg for nausea, 1/day, 4 days.
