Val can certainly symbolize everything that Angel despises and how he wants to break free from it (at least he did until he learned he was a sleeper agent). I still don't quite see them as mirror opposites of each other, since they need more contrasts. You make some good views of them, nevertheless.

I'm not sure how to evaluate that kind of dynamic. To me they're just the evil master/good slave. But please explain.

I would not be surprised if Val has that, too, adding further to Angel's misery: physical and emotional abuse, and he's terrible in bed because of... that. Adds to his full contrast to Ozzie.

And they're so busy focusing their hate on Charlie that by the time they drink their soda, it's gone flat. They have plenty of pleasurable resources they could enjoy peacefully if they just focus on those and not on hate. Hate like that is a poison that slowly inside, and they don't feel it.

I'll second what was mentioned about Ghostfvkers. Millie was in one of her greatest elements, to say nothing of the fantastic backstory. Hell's Belles was endearing for her relationship with Sallie May. Those people in the fandom need to take some steps back and look at the whole picture so far.
