Have you heard about the Roadless Rule? It protects forestland across the country, but Trump wants to REPEAL IT!

Nothing is final yet, so it's time to speak out.

You can submit public comment to protect our public lands—just do it BEFORE 11:59pm EST on FRIDAY, September 19!

🚨🚨🚨 Jeffrey Epstein during a 2010 deposition:

Q. Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of
18?
A: Though l'd like to answer that question, at least today l'm going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.

This is the picture of fascism in America.
Laughing in front of cages designed to hold migrants and refugees, many of whom came to this country fleeing extreme violence and poverty, and hoping to raise their children in a more compassionate country. And many of whom followed all the legal procedures to enter the country.

Federal agents blasted their way into a Los Angeles home with two children inside, @nbcla.com reports.

80 year old veteran arrested for protesting a military parade for a draft dodger.
There is no bottom: 80 year-old veteran arrested, arms handcuffed behind his back, even though he is physically disabled for protesting Trump’s military parade. Pure evil!

At least three citizens under the age of 10 have been deported from the U.S. without due process. This should shock everyone, regardless of how you feel about any particular immigration policy. www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...
Three U.S. citizens, ages 2, 4 and 7, swiftly deported from Louisiana
The cases have renewed concerns that the Trump administration’s expedited deportations are violating the rights of both citizens and noncitizens.

Need to stress that DOGE is a little White House agency with no visible director whose main official function is to help agencies with their websites. They have no authority to fire anybody or do any of this.
If Burgum doesn’t want the job, he should quit: “This order shows what it looks like when leaders abdicate their jobs and let unqualified outsiders fire thousands of civil servants who are working on behalf of all Americans and their public lands.”

The trade deficit only makes up around 0.02% of our GDP, we are going to kill the strongest global economy for a rounding error.

I guess it doesn't matter if you are a Republican or Democrat, if you are corrupt Trump is on your side
Trump DOJ is literally saying they’re letting Eric Adams walk so he can help them implement their immigration policies.

Federal prosecutors won’t press charges on elected officials that help the Trump Administration implement its agenda.

I'm deeply saddened to share that Donald Shoup passed away last night. He was the ideal academic—curious, methodical, and concerned with turning ideas into real-world change. TAing his parking course these past few years has one of the greatest honors of my life. Rest in peace, Shoup Dogg.

J.P. Morgan econs on Trump’s latest are “increasingly concerned that the policy mix may tilt into an unintentionally far less business-friendly stance. The sustained 25% tariff on Canada and Mexico set to start this weekend is materially different than the tariff increases built into our baseline.”

While I am in no way a fashion person, menswear guy is one of my favorite accounts to follow.
So while Anton says this feud is about speech credit, I think it's about clothing. IMO, to understand Anton's psyche, you have to spend years with him on an obscure menswear forum. I invite journalists to contact me in the future on White House feuds involving Anton.

100%, there's a strong, almost-overwhelming desire from liberals to understand, engage, and empathize with conservatives in a way there almost never is vice-versa. Nobody in MAGAland 2020 was like "wow we really need to listen to Biden's arguments and learn how he connected with voters"
One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.
