E-bike hire schemes are great for people looking to get around cities quickly, greenly, and actively.

We need to figure out like parking and interactions with pedestrians but we should stay in the cycle lane and solve these problems!

“Regenerative grazing” is not a great “carbon solution.”

But... We need to do it anyway!
Regenerative grazing is overhyped as a climate solution. We should do it anyway.
Animal agriculture has a climate problem.

Good read on regenerative agriculture practices—which often are good for building soil health, water retention, reducing water pollution, and increasing resilience to climate change—and the extent to which they reduce net GHG emissions via soil carbon sequestration (which is far less clear). 🧪
Regenerative agriculture is sold as a climate solution. Can it do all it says?
Governments and industries are pouring billions of dollars into so-called “regenerative agriculture.” But while scientists say some of these farming practices do reduce planet heating pollution, for others the science is less clear.

Agriculture & climate are a 2-way street. Agriculture is a key contributor to GHG emissions & is also one of the most vulnerable sectors to a changing climate.

Climate change will likely exacerbate agriculture's impacts (eg lower productivity ➡️ more land clearing to compensate ➡️ more emissions). 🧪
Climate change exacerbates the environmental impacts of agriculture
Agriculture’s global environmental impacts are widely expected to continue expanding, driven by population and economic growth and dietary changes. This Review highlights climate change as an addition...
