The average age of signers of the constitution was like 42. Youngest was like 26. I don’t think anyone is saying everything should be run by 20-somethings, but everyone being in their 70’s and 80’s is insane. 40’s is pretty ideal.

I’m not sure I would call someone I can’t have an honest discussion and possible disagreement with “a friend.”

Uh, politicians are owned by toxic billionaires.
Non-billionaires collectively hold more wealth than billionaires. The people can directly fund science, we just have to collectively decide to do so and maybe cut back on buying stuff that we don’t need.

Can Megyn Kelley be banned from coming within 500 feet of all schools please? In fact, this should happen for anyone that supports Trump. They can’t be trusted to protect children.

One would hope but that would require a deflation of ego, which is very difficult when everyone feels anxious and afraid. The strategy of sadopopulism is to create as much fear and anxiety in the population so that it becomes a political resource that can be exploited. I don’t know how to reduce it.

Term limits is old thinking. We need new thinking. Every elected official should be up for re-election every single year. It’s not the 18th century anymore, everything moves 100x faster than it did when 2-6 year terms were created. 12 months is long enough to get something done these days.

Nice! I spent several hours last week organizing my electronics components, getting ready for the middle school science club I run. I think our first project will be to create digital thermometers with LCD displays to measure the heat of a chemical reaction.

Also, with the massive abandonment of MAGA by Hispanic voters, Texas’ redistricting scam is also not going to work out for MAGA, since they assumed 2024 levels of Hispanic support.
