I’m sorry to hear! You’ll find a path, but that doesn’t make today easier. Take care of yourself!

It’s the flagship public university of Louisiana. Where else do you think academically oriented students from Louisiana who need or want in-state tuition should go?

Yep, in some of these fields (nursing, engineering) you can get a job with a bachelors degree or less. But for speech language pathology and social work you need a masters to get started, and there are never enough of those professionals.

We had a veterinarian who aspires to treat marine mammals as a rotating intern last year - She sadly informed me that sea otter patients are mean as heck with a super powerful bite. 🦦

The kittens are even worse - their parvo is called panleukopenia virus. They have same costs of treatment but a much higher mortality rate (mortality is about 50% in kittens, 10%in puppies). Vaccinate your kittens too!

We see a fair bit of severe parvovirus, too unstable for outpatient protocols. Most are not insured. Costs of hospitalization are high (isolation ward, intensive care), and they can be in hospital a week or more. Vaccinate your pups!!

My new cat Stormy (was found in a storm, not named for that Stormy) has stopped being afraid of the dog and started telling her off.

They don’t understand how shampoo selection works. Buying hair care products involves trial and error as well as an analysis of budget and value. It’s a long process and not an urgent (or emergency) decision. Local availability may or may not be a factor.

Multiple options for ways to help him up. I believe in him and know he will pay it forward in many great ways. Collectively, we can make it happen.

I actually disagree - but it would have to be a candidate selected by the grass roots in a competitive primary.

Was there a difference in incidence of AKI or need for dialysis?

With current cost of a starter house in California - this wouldn’t put anyone over the top (okay, maybe like 4 people in Bakersfield). Even as outreach to lower cost red states, it’s a pathetic amount.
