Single payer healthcare seems like a reasonable, sustainable, freedom enhancing (not tethered to your employer) solution to a universal need for a functioning, growing society that has basic belief in a better future for humanity. It'd prolly help, anway.
Ooooh. At first I read that as "Dr. Detroit".

But, yeah, either way.

I shudder at every software update because I know it just means something is about to get weirdly worse.

Today's example: cool, so I can't download a picture from search anymore. Cool. Thanks Google. All these options suck.

Remember, early in this iconic episode the Enterprise and the alien ship are in a battle and Sulu reports that both ships have raised "screens" and, consequently, their phasers can't get through.

When you overuse a Meme, it becomes boring, stale and meaningless.

They really want to go back to the era of robber barons.

Sorry, I'm just going to the bathroom.

Yea, I'm micking you for being an unthinking douche.

"We've made." So now you're claiming to speak for alm the little guys, all of BlueSky.

Anyway, here's three examples in succession from that little guy, the Financial Times, on a quick scroll of their feed right now.

I completely forgot about Game of Thrones.

Did you like Event Horizon (1997)?

Life Stage Conundrum: I'm into railroads and their impact on law and society, but I resist the urge to dive in whole hog because at my age interest in trains is a great way to accidentally become a Civil War Guy.

Current events may save the day, though. I'm thinking of being a Teapot Dome Guy.

I'm grateful that this week everyone discovered the term that made Fletch (1985) unwatchable to my dyslexic ass.

I thought this already proved the point that reality can't live up to memory.

"Rocky" is one way of putting it.

Another is that 12 years on, this Ai company has burned through cash and produced no drugs (the point of the exercise) and, if you read the article, is simply installing a new leader making the same pie on the sky promises that just up ahead it'll all be great.

Can I claim self defense, or some other form of justifiable homicide, if I beat this guy to death with this book? Asking for a friend.

The Hunger Games was supposed to be fictional social commentary not a model.

Remember, no matter how high or low in their careers, the right wing guys are hawking a product.

This is an anti-Catholic cartoon from 1943.

Andrew Cuomo's dad, Mario Cuomo, was 11 years old when this cartoon came out.

Andrew Cuomo is a practicing Catholic and has made multiple insinuations that his opponent's religion is cause for fear.

Are doctors hating this thing or what?*

*metal brushes can get ingested and cause huge problems. I don't see how an unattended, automatic machine is better than the problematic manual brushes where there's at least a chance the operator will notice a loose bit of wire and likely fewer brush strokes

I saw Halloween III at a friend's house and really liked it.

Should I watch the others?
