I went to a carol singing in New York once where they only sang the first verse of each carol. Good King Wenceslas looked out at a poor man gath'ring winter fu-el - and then presumably went back to bed untroubled by his conscience.

This would be an INSANE move, to anyone familiar with how local politics works in Walthamstow.
I don’t think I’m over interpreting but Polanski seems to hint quite strongly in his Rest is Politics podcast that he’s thinking of running against Stella Creasy in Walthamstow. Think that would be a pretty brave move (in the Sir Humphrey sense). One of the v few Labour with a genuine personal vote

Could anyone help identify why the canopy columns on the island platform at Ryde St John’s Road on the Isle of Wight are marked SVSR - all I think is that it stands for Shanklin, Ventnor, Sandown, Ryde. Or is there another explanation? #islandline #isleofwight #ryde
