Enormous enhancement is a strange term to use for a decision to roll back from immediate protections to six months.

I’m not sure it’s a positive if after leaving one job to start somewhere else, an employee finds they have no rights or protections a couple of weeks later if a contract is lost and then the new employer lets that employee go

Hardly a government backing innovation and investment in personal futures

The millionaire businessmen (and it’s invariably the men) are like reform voters on immigration. It doesn’t matter how much you bend to their will, they will always want more.

They’ve had 3 decades of tax cuts.

The social sector is fucked. Get over it. And accept what is in fact a very small rise

Think the Crankies must have reformed.
November 27, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Ignore that. Was able to download it in my phone.

I’m going to get my bike out and start a tour of local post boxes over several days to make sure the get them all.
November 27, 2025 at 3:52 PM
Can you set up a downloadable file to print on Google doc or somewhere?

Be a shame not to pass on your exemplary work. I’d love to ‘help’.

Funnily enough I stayed and listened to that afterwards. Really interesting. And the Q&A

Finally, a positive from Trumps second term! Well done Donny T.

This years is pretty good - even without the line. Doesn’t detract from the main thrust of his argument, which is fortunate.

I’d imagine the listening figures are a major improvement on previous lectures as a result of the censorship

All those free speech enforcers on the right are also strangely silent. You’d think Farage and Musk would be tweeting non stop about the wokeness of it all.
November 26, 2025 at 12:13 PM
It’s ok. He says he wasn’t mean and although he may have repeated this continually over 5 or 6 years, it wasn’t actually a pattern of behaviour. It was all a bit of fun.

Just Nige being Nige.

He was just doing good old fashioned jokey racism. In a 70’s styles.

Why can’t we all now just move on?

Top of the league, 10 points clear after 17 games and another 4 away from home.

It’s a bit weird.

PUSB.

Blame you for that OG.

Make her get the bus next time 😂
November 25, 2025 at 8:55 PM
It blew my kid that she’s reading from prepared notes, and at no point did she stop and think this actually sounds quite bad and embarrassing to admit. In public. On film.
November 20, 2025 at 9:20 AM
It’s awful. I am no longer shopping at Tescos.

They’ve even changed the department to ‘Winter Festival’ on the drop down menus - admittedly with spelling mistakes so the letters form the word ‘Christmas’ but really.

The world’s gone mad.
November 20, 2025 at 8:46 AM
She won’t be getting asked back next year with that level of ‘analysis’.
November 19, 2025 at 4:08 PM
I wonder why they started discussing these plans so soon after the conference season, rather than before
November 19, 2025 at 8:26 AM
I believe the Donald conducted a thorough investigation using a pair of binoculars, two periscopes and some children’s spy glasses.

One final thing - The major difference between Nazi and Boer internment comparisons would presumably be the seizure of assets. Id suspect the Boers gold and assets weren’t taken.

And I think that’s the basis of the comparisons. For me at least.

Oh. And thanks for all the clarifications!
November 18, 2025 at 8:22 AM
Absolutely if it takes this amount of time to work out if a policy can legitimately be compared to that of the Nazis then you’re undoubtedly struggling - particularly as a party on the ‘left’

I’d say the major concern is that this policy, if adopted, becomes the starting point for whoever follows…
November 18, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Fair point.

Should the Nazi Camps almost have a specially designated term - essentially due to post 1941?

When was the term concentration camp first used in a contemporary, real time setting, as opposed to a historical term applied retrospectively?

Does/Should it make any difference?

Genuine Q
November 17, 2025 at 12:08 PM
Or to the Anglo Boer war and South Africa…
November 17, 2025 at 11:13 AM
Shall we just wait for Farage to become PM and push on with the policy. He might be minded to take it to the next level.

Are we allowed to label them as such then or do we have to wait a bit longer?
November 17, 2025 at 10:43 AM
At what point do former army barracks, with fences, topped with barbed wire and guards at entry points restricting access become labelled ‘concentration camps’, that had fences, barbed wire and guards at entry points forbidding access?

Is there an official guide or document that tells us?
