i love the looming However in this particular screen grab
it's not that i think bombers are entirely fake, it's just that the way the game occasionally encourages you to stand around and let your opponent whiff stuff conditions you to stare at your opponent, a bad habit when they're charging bomber

I feel like the ps1 using sprites as billboards was really underused...all of the cool wiggly effects for various things in Symphony of the Night were generated that way and I think they look *so good*.
