Unless republicans in House and Senate do something about it (changing parties, resigning immediately, etc), the admin doesn't care about what the population thinks. The admin knows that they just need to sell the "peace deal" as "look, Ukraine agreed to it, so deal with it, trump is the best".

Translation:

"Reestablish strategic stability": amnesty for all war crimes, lifting of all sanctions, recognition of any territory russia wants, readmit of russia to any group they were kicked out of...

USA electing trump was seemingly effectively electing putin, as everything done is pro-russia.

Unfortunately, there is no option with trump. There is nothing Ukraine or the Western countries can do to sway him to their side. The sooner they and everyone else realize that, the better. Everything he does is either to benefit himself or russia, or both.

And to those that say this won't work - it did already, in Georgia. Georgia was invaded at least twice by russia, agreed to a "peace" deal, and now they are being run by a pro-russian party. Never underestimate just how insidious, pervasive, and deeply invasive russian propaganda is.

The far right russian sponsored anti-NATO parties infiltrated nearly every Western country, and are already running some. This hybrid war from russia will not stop even if russia agrees to some sort of "peace" deal. They will again push russian parties in Ukraine, and invade again if that fails.

What's the point of negotiating with USA when from the very beginning of the current administration everything has been done to favor russia? Literally from day one, when USAID was cancelled. How many Ukrainian lives were lost due to "pauses" in aid? How many were lost due to no more aid, period?

Idiocracy is in full swing.

IF democrats gain power back. It's not looking likely at this point with all the redistricting republicans are doing to gain more seats in order to keep themselves in power. We're cooked as a country and the West in general, assuming we survive the chaos that is coming, for probably many years.

Bla bla bla. Bacon should either resign or switch sides immediately rather than continue tweeting from his moral high ground without actually doing anything about it.
December 5, 2025 at 8:12 PM
The states have the power to mandate vaccines... for now. Because the admin doesn't care at all about state's rights, of course, as they want the king to rule uncontested.
December 5, 2025 at 6:08 PM
The fact that those parties are all pro-russian has absolutely nothing to do with this policy I'm sure. Yep. Totally nothing to see here. Purely a sheer coincidence.

"No longer" boldly assumes that putin feared trump at some point, which is absurd. Why would he fear trump who has always done everything in favor of russia?

Narrator: "Little did anyone know that the commitment was to commit to breaking it..."

China supports all efforts aimed at achieving peace? In that case they would need to help defeat russia, because that would indeed result in a just, lasting, and binding peace.
December 4, 2025 at 11:05 AM
It's not a balancing act, they are pro-russia. Any government that rolls out the red carpet for putin is pro-russia.
