I don't understand, why would a 'lefty prick' want to shag 'Labour'?
November 29, 2025 at 11:27 AM
Because they're an authoritarian government.

Complaining that @zackpolanski.bsky.social and @greenparty.org.uk's wealth tax might make the super rich leave is like complaining that the worming tablets your vet gives you might make your dog's worms go away!

Fewer parasites equals a more healthy economy for the rest of us - what's not to like?
November 27, 2025 at 10:16 AM
While this is true I think a more important part of the discourse is to explain to people that the super rich are not net givers to society, but net *takers*. That's how they got so obscenely rich in the first place!

Even if they do leave that's not a problem, it's just more pie for the rest of us.

That Mumsnet post is so obviously about the OP wanting to protect what she sees as "her inheritance", rather than about the mother being in any actual financial difficulty.
November 27, 2025 at 9:29 AM
This is so cringe-worthy, even by Rachel Reeves' very low standard 😬🤣

To be fair Net Zero is awful, we should be pursuing Gross Zero Fossil Fuels. I don't think that's what Reform means though.
November 26, 2025 at 7:53 AM
I think we should call them "ignorant fuckwits".
November 26, 2025 at 7:34 AM
@jujuliagrace.bsky.social, this should be a poll:

Who do you think should train doctors in the use of AI?

a) other doctors, whose fields of study and expertise cover the use of AI in a medical context.

b) the son of the guy who gave us the illegal invasion of Iraq.

I was already a member, but you're right, that was a really dumb post.
November 19, 2025 at 8:27 PM
It's more than that, the plan is a simple one. He and his mates would make a fortune by betting against the UK economy.
November 18, 2025 at 8:11 AM
As for the reform woman rolling her eyes at "we have seen this with Nazi Germany", that's what *real* antisemitism looks like.

#JustStopOil (money from destroying democracy)

My plea to journalists like @georgemonbiot.bsky.social, stop assuming the government wants to save the NHS and is just incompetent. They know that administrators hold the NHS together and that is *why* they are attacking them. They want to destroy the NHS and replace it with a fully private system.

"The Centre" never existed, it was always smoke and mirrors. Either you are on the side of work (left) or you are on the side of capital (right). You can't be on both sides, and the only ideology truly on neither side is the anarchists.

I don't want anyone to think I don't respect a BA in History, when it comes to questions of, well, history, I will happily defer to one.

But when it comes to what "adds up" economically I will take my PhD in Mathematical Statistics and Operational Research and tell them where to stick it.

As if any kids are reading The Times 🤣
November 12, 2025 at 8:49 AM
Is that because @zackpolanski.bsky.social is the kind of guy you'd happily have a pint with while talking through the pressures of growing up under capitalism...

Whereas Keir Starmer is a duplicitous, lying, genocide supporting arsehole?
November 12, 2025 at 8:44 AM
So true.

Please come together with @zarahsultana.bsky.social to make Your Party a truly democratic left wing party.

Then come together with @zackpolanski.bsky.social and the Greens as a left alliance so that together we can beat Reform at the next general election.

It's a part of the neoliberal sickness of our society that "affordable" is used as a euphemism for "really small".
November 12, 2025 at 8:26 AM
Surely worsening inequality *was* its true aim, no?
