Welcome Lugia Splash home! He’s the one I actually wanted but despite his health looks a bit questionable at a local fish store..
I definitely can see he is exploring the tank and swimming around. He’s eating and interacting. I added some tannins into the tank as I read it helps the immune system.

I haven’t been super active but here is Rainstorm!! She/He is very precious. (I’m currently waiting to see how much he or she grows before identifying what gender they are! I was sold an Alien male betta fish. He or she looks a lot like a samurai alien betta fish now.)

I just set up the second tank!! Let’s GOO
Note: I got a Fluval filter system for it but it unfortunately leaked before I even plugged it in. (Thank the ancient I noticed before plugging it in!!) I’m sure it happens and I just happened to be one to receive the defective one.)

Upclose video of him!!
After seeing him upclose and watching him grow over the few weeks, I noticed the lil white spot (possibly a white egg spot).
When I got him, on the cup it states Male Alien. Now, I’m not so sure if this is actually a female betta or a male betta.

I’m sooo attempted to doodle my fishy but he’s not full grown yet and hasn’t revealed his true mightiest self of an alien betta fish.

I definitely seeing some shiny scales starting to cover the body now but super slowly. He’s definitely very shiny and content. I mean look at his glow up in the last two weeks! Plants are growing like crazy in there too!

Hey yall, #bettafish owners!!
I just got him yesterday. His colors did change almost immediately after being released. He did temperature acclimated before adding him into the tank. I went to work and came back 8 hours later. He is presenting stripes. I’m hoping he’s still getting used to the tank.

That betta fish I spotted reaaally clicked with me. The white and blue one? It was still before it noticed me. Turned and I swore it saw me. I wanted to buy him already. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Hunted down an image that looks pretty identical to him. (I think it’s a him? Sorry image is blurry cuz I screenshotted it)
