I always go back and forth between Schifrin and Goldsmith as the greatest film composer, but really, only Schifrin in all the history of cinema made percussion and brass work for the image better than *anyone* before or after him, and likely anyone in the foreseeable future.

I really wish all reporting of immigration stories would stop using the term ‘federal agent’ unless it can be confirmed that these cowardly motherfuckers are actually federal agents. Use the term ‘unknown masked men’ or, in the rare cases women are involved ‘unknown masked people’

This idiotic curfew contains the whole of the William Mead housing project which is full of people who are already vulnerable to criminalization and profiling. Our folks had to call through all our lists to let them know because the city apparently saw fit to announce it with a text message at 8:07
