A nice find and restoration at a local hardoff. Crazy good deal I couldn’t pass up.

A sun damaged Dreamcast controller. It looks very yellowed. The same Dreamcast controller, with sun damage repaired. The controller is now much whiter.

New shell arrived for my Sega Dreamcast. Decided to keep the original power and open buttons, along with the original controller port cover. Makes for a more balanced unit against the translucent blue. :) really happy with how it came out!

Played some Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse after repairing it. I, uh, needed some help to finish the game…
The circuit board of Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse for the Sega Megadrive. A repair has been made between two solder points on the board, using a 1K ohm resistor. A Japanese Sega Megadrive Model 1 with a Game Genie cheat cartridge installed. A copy of Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse is inserted into the Game Genie.

I’m so happy my s-video cables arrived for my Dreamcast today. The video really pops on my PVM. :)

I love a good restoration
A sun faded emerald GameCube controller with a very sun damaged analog stick. The same controller as before, an emerald GameCube controller now with all sun fade damage removed. The analog stick is now in perfect condition.

There’s something about the original game boy screen that is just comforting, like the warm glow of a CRT TV or the static of analogue signals when a station closed down for the night.

Went and bought a cheap copy of Smash Bros. Melee on GameCube today. Was shrink wrapped. Open the wrap, the familiar stench of cigarette smoke wafted out. Guess I now have a copy of Super Ash Brothers.

So I found a CIB copy of Spot on the Famicom. I never even knew it got a Famicom release. The cart inside is PRISTINE.
