New shell arrived for my Sega Dreamcast. Decided to keep the original power and open buttons, along with the original controller port cover. Makes for a more balanced unit against the translucent blue. :) really happy with how it came out!

Went and bought a cheap copy of Smash Bros. Melee on GameCube today. Was shrink wrapped. Open the wrap, the familiar stench of cigarette smoke wafted out. Guess I now have a copy of Super Ash Brothers.

Nowhere near the tsunami, but I am in Japan, and got to deal first hand with the 2011 quake in Christchurch, New Zealand. The news coverage and the announcers yelling at people to run has brought out quite a bit of unresolved trauma for me. Ugh.

I’m not sure about the current appearance of the thread on Bluesky, but by our experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake, IT FEELS AS SERIOUS AS THAT happening now. So I can’t help posting from the safer place, just as same as I did in 2011.

Tsunami will repeatedly hit the coast and may become higher.
People in those areas must evacuate immediately.
Stay on the alert and escape to higher ground and go as far away as possible from the coast.
