How would a robot know how often humans poop? It's like those NASA guys who gave a lady astronaut hundreds of tampons for a week.

Suggesting that out gay actors shouldn’t be given opportunities to play gay characters over actors who present as straight because some of those straight actors *might* be in the closet and “discriminating” against straight men thus might harm closeted gay men too is the most pretzel logic ever.

Exactly my mother is estranged from all her sisters because they had to go into legal action against each other over a rota of who would take care of my grandma. The idea of getting free social care for her would literally heal my family.

British anxiety with benefits always seemed very foreign to me. If only Brazil had this kind of benefits. I can't understand how anyone would not like them.

It's never "Inheritance street" or "tax evasion street" is it.

As if needed benefits is a fun way to live. And as if all those benefits don't rapidly funnel back to the rich in rent, bills etc anyway.

Ultimately these words all derive from a Proto-Indo-European word for "flat", which is at the root of

plateau
plat (Fr), prato (Pt), piatto (It), plato (Sp), plate (En)
chato (Pt)

And words for "silver" since it was made into sheets:

prata (Pt), plata (Sp), River Plate (En)
