It’s been a while since I’ve made headway with zombie WIP, but suddenly I am SO close to the end! I wrote some delicious sapphic angst today & hit 83k 🧟‍♀️
Her knees buckled then, and she knew she wouldn’t ever get off this floor. It felt too final, her body closing its shutters as the cold concrete hit her. Rain dribbled on her face as she dropped onto her back, or maybe it was blood and tears. Air whooshed from her lungs, the vast, blackening sky greeting her. She wanted to go to it, let it wrap around her, but then Louisa eclipsed the clouds, a reminder of what she’d be leaving behind.
