When I taught Civics, I used Supreme Court cases to trace our expansion of rights to demonstrate democratic values.

If I were still teaching Civics today, I would need to place the concepts of 'precedent,' 'stare decisis,' and 'rule of law' in the trash bin.

At night, Ukrainian drones were active near Engels-2 airbase in Saratov. The airbase is used by Russian strategic aviation to for missile strike campaigns against Ukrainian cities. Russian air defense was seen operating against incoming drones.

Slovak President Peter Pellegrini has come out against using EU funds for military aid to Ukraine, claiming it only prolongs the war. In an STVR interview, he urged support for US-Russia talks instead and argued that funds should go toward Ukraine’s post-war recovery, not defense.
