I hope so. I had great hopes but my confidence has been undermined by a number of actions … not giving up yet though.

Being against environmental collapse caused by fossil fuel reliance is thinking long term. I suspect OP is right about Carney’s play here but the optics are horrible and I don’t think it wins support - the petrolheads aren’t going to change allegiance - but environmentalists will.

They aren’t thinking that far ahead , and their AI is certainly not telling them that.

The CFIG is not there to benefit consumers … or grocery store employees. It also has an interesting/deceptive name since they seem to be lobbing for the major chains in this case and others

Maybe, but they think everything is about money. Many can’t seem to comprehend that it could be their tolerance of their government’s behaviour towards citizens and others.

Emera sucked NSP dry, deferring maintenance and security upgrades to pay outrageous bonuses that weren’t earned. We can stand by for the taxpayer bailout (but only after one more bonus payout. It seems to be the way of the world these days.

In shipboard damage control, one attacked the major leaks with temporary means until stronger shoring and bracing can be fitted. I want to see long-term plans but I understand the “leak stopping” going on right now.

Nissan and Renault maintain a partnership of sorts (along with Mitsubishi), so there is already a dealership network if they want to get these here. They are already sharing an IC engine.

You are pathetic

I’d prefer not to receive false thanks from people who want to control how veterans celebrate their fallen comrades.
November 10, 2025 at 5:11 PM
If you really gave a damn about all veterans, you wouldn’t have a problem with groups celebrating veterans that come from their communities to defend Canada. They fought for freedom- which includes remembering their community members in their own way while the nation as a whole does so 11 Nov.

Polish Combatants day 15 August
Black veterans 5 July
Sikh veterans ceremony was 5 November
- I could go on…

In addition there are separate national ceremonies for each of the armed services, UN peacekeeping Veterans Day in August, and of course NFLD Memorial Day on 1 July.

Yes and there are many VETERANS days that celebrate different groups of veterans. How do I know? I served for 33 years. The clue is in the name. It’s not Indigenous Remembrance Day. It’s Indigenous VETERANS day.
November 9, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Indigenous Veterans are also part of Remembrance Day (hasn’t always been the case). There are plenty of other days set aside for other veteran groups - this only seems to be a problem for the indigenous one which says a lot about those complaining about it.

Tons of plastic, can’t be made locally, can’t be burned (required if colony acquires American Foul brood).
@$340C for a basic hive compared with <$75 for a home made langstrogh with pine from a mill up the road, I know what my business decision is (and I’ve tried the superior Turkish Apimaye hive)
