So anyway I restored Daicon IV from scratch. This was a joint project with Chris Person (papapishu), who sourced the incredibly Rare Laserdisc release. The raw files can be found on the internet archive for those interested in processing it yourself. Enjoy! archive.org/details/DAIC...

Found a weird one today. A strange Lupin style anime about Kidnapping girls to rule the world. It has this bouncy Tiny Toons look, & was never sold outside Japan. It also has a girl in a Princess Leia costume for 1/3 of it. Nothing looks like this anymore, not even cartoons.

“Ghost in the shell” had a surprisingly fun game on PlayStation. It also had amazing cutscenes that perfectly replicated the original look of the manga.

My remaster of The Weathering Continent is finished. I did a 200gb decode of a brand new Laserdisc & returned it to the frame rate it was mastered at. Final render is 23.6GB with the highest visual clarity possible. Yes, this even beats that sideways DVD they released ages ago in America.
