I don't have a good pic of our old cat's paws but the front right in this picture had 7 toes. She was a very inbred rescue from when we lived in Alaska. She had 26.5 (there was a little stubby one on her front left) instead of the nominal 18.

All wonderful books but I adore ger first title: The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet. It's a great way to recharge after all the fucking bad news.

Our old cat Sofie came with us from AK to FL to CA. She had an appropriate amount of love for Alaskan salmon coupled with a vehement dislike for Atlantic salmon. She would not eat Atlantic salmon even if hungry and she even snubbed salmon from California fisheries.

Not thrilled with my pace but proud to complete this ride. Took just under 21 hours because I made a few mistakes early on and the weather kicked my ass. I was shooting for 19hrs total.
GPS said ~10,500 feet of elevation. Barometer said ~8,800 but there was weather.
