Political Scientist, pop health researcher, federalism geek, movie nut
In order to determine where Scotland sits in the world of whisky (to be fair, I have a working hypothesis), the social scientist in me says you need to do some initial comparative research in order to establish some baseline metrics. So begins Phase 1 of a new research initiative ...

Thanks to Bushwakker’s Brew Pub for hosting another successful Science Pub and big thanks to my co-panelists Jim Farney & Murray Mandryk. Gratifying to see the room packed despite the Dewdney Dig going on around it.

Today’s 338Canada simulations show an 91% chance of an LPC gov’t. The CPC line that “Carney = Trudeau” hasn’t worked. The elxn is abt our future, not our past. The C-Tax is the least of our problems going forward & Cdns know it. [Oh, and thoughts & prayers go out to the NDP … ]

Curious & couriouser. LPC move into majority territory, CPC slips and NDP face loss of party status. Carney’s strategy shld be to go now w shortest campaign possible, deny the CPC a chance to regroup. The day after elxn, Wab Kinew’s phone rings off the hook

March 17, 2025 at 4:08 AM
