Been enjoying hearing about Purim! The costumes and candy lore are super sweet, no pun intended.
I wouldn't say I enjoy International Holocaust Day, but I find it important. Remembering the Holocaust is all about making sure that it never happens again. #WriteStuff

Thanksgiving because of how it glorifies colonization and we're taught the theme park version. Not to mention having to tolerate family members who won't understand boundaries. While I like the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special, the holiday has too much bad outweighing good. #WriteStuff

Graphic novels? The Christmas scenes in Heartstopper.
Manga, probably Pet Shop of Horrors for their Christmas special. Mermaid Prince for the story "One Snowy Day" about a parent and child reading in a library to get away from a storm. #WriteStuff

Hmm.
I checked through my TBR; not many stories with Christmas scenes. Benny Ramirez and the Nearly Departed is one though!
No Better Than Beasts is Nutcracker-inspired and fun! @zrellor.bsky.social
Short story collections? "Christmas Island" in Changing Planes by Ursula K LeGuin #WriteStuff

Muppet Christmas Carol! Without question. Michael Caine delivering a serious performance while Kermit ice-skates and Gonzo flies off great heights. #WriteStuff

I want to one day get a Halloween story accepted. And I have some unpublished Christmas horror. A person can dream... #WriteStuff

I miss the days when they were pure joy. Drama makes December a stress fest, especially when you spend time with someone that watches political debates like sports games. #WriteStuff

When this chat ends, I’m going to lie down and sleep until 8:45 AM. I’d really like to sleep until I feel well-rested and ready to take on the day. #WriteStuff

I'd probably... not write for a couple of days. To recharge. Once I'm recharged, I probably would work on my book. #WriteStuff

Yep. One story I'm trying to sell is told in reverse order social media posts. Alas, no one has bought it yet. #WriteStuff

One of them has a lifetime pass, long enough for a mom of a teenager to become a grandmother. Another probably takes place over a week. The one I'm revising happens over two or three days. #WriteStuff

So one thing I'm not doing (but SHOULD) is that if you're posting multiple things, write down ideal dates to post on a calendar or planner. That way you know if you're doing too much. #WriteStuff

Yep. I've definitely learned you have to somehow make them disruption or future-proof. Otherwise, you feel disoriented when having to leave. #WriteStuff

It varies. If I'm in the zone, it can be a couple of hours. When we did in-person write-ins, we met for about three hours and did timed sprints. 4thewords lists how long you spend on each document. #WriteStuff

Lordy. I haven't counted. Normally a short story takes me a few days to write, or it can take as long as a month. For a revision contest, I'm trying to do more than an hour with each pass. But I want to dig deep, so that may require an extra four to five hours since the story is sad. #WriteStuff
