This appears to be pretty standardized at this point. For a while now we've seen Russian soldiers with shotguns accompanying air defense assets when they move out of their covered position. This is done to protect against the small Ukrainian FPV drones.

Russia launched one of their largest missile and drone attacks of the war overnight into Ukraine. Reportedly over 210 total munitions were fired, 120 missiles and 90 drones. Power outages reported across the country, overall damage assessment is still underway.
