It has been another hard week filled with emergency vet visits and no sleep, but while dealing with all of that I have been lurking here and finding a lot of humor and comfort in the HMJ corner of Blueskee. Very thankful to have found y’all and gotten to know some of you 💜

Forever screaming from the rooftops that if universities would actually invest in their libraries they would be able to hire catalogers with diverse areas of specialization and then we wouldn’t need AI to tackle the backlog of uncataloged materials BECAUSE WE WOULD HAVE ACTUAL CATALOGERS

It is almost 9:00pm and dark as hell outside, but my !wife and I just waged war (sprayed repellant, set traps) against the ants outside because finding 3 inside is 3 too many!!!!!!! We will NOT have a repeat of the February invasion!!!!!!!!!!! 🚫🐜🪦

My !wife and I just made these superb rice crispy treats that have pretzels, peanuts, and semisweet chocolate mixed in. We swapped the prescribed toffee bits for butterscotch chips because it’s what we could find, and you know what? DELIGHTFUL!

My !wife and I just made these superb rice crispy treats that have pretzels, peanuts, and semisweet chocolate mixed in. We swapped the prescribed toffee bits for butterscotch chips because it’s what we could find, and you know what? DELIGHTFUL!

First day back at work post-cat crisis and I am:

Since Saturday night I have been to the emergency vet with my cat thrice because she stopped eating. Yesterday was our first full day back at home and she ate all of her wet food from last night. I’m just so emotional about this now empty can of wet food. Anyway, here’s my girl.

First time in my whole life that I’ve lived somewhere where I’ve gotten trick or treaters, and while there weren’t a ton, it was still heartwarming and so fun to hand out candy and gush over costumes 🖤✨🎃
