You don't see this as MMI advocating for lowering taxes on 'ground oriented housing'?

The #CBC has an Ombudsman who is in charge of mediating complaints that listeners have with the editorial teams response to complaints. They write reports on if the editorial team violated the CBCs standards and practices.

Historically the office generated ~60 reports a year. 2025 has seen 3 so far

Not discounting how much of this is theatrics, but the 'tarrif' is actually a flat rate of $10 per mwh. Which is roughly 25% of the average price.

Which groups did the US back during the Maidan revolution? Please don't tell me you think the CIA sat on their hands that whole time.

In the aftermath of the revolution, those groups that received US support were able to shape the democracy you are insisting has no facist tendencies.

Yes, as you noted, no one gets in trouble just for being a fail son with a sinecure job. But (poorly) lying on your taxes about it gets you sent to jail.

Don't take my word for it, read the article I snipped earlier. Deliberate tax evasion usually results in jail time, as do most financial crime convictions in the US.

People do go to jail for tax avoidance. You need to be a lot richer than Hunter to get away with owing uncle Sam a million bucks.

Yes, there exists a level of wealth in the US where you can lie about owing a million dollars in income tax, but not be wealthy enough to avoid jail time.

People absolutely do go to jail for that in the US.

40 on main streets sounds like the toronto solution, you get long thin lines of ultra density, split in the middle by a busy road. Surrounded by oceans of SFH who demand car centric planning, very unpleasant for walkability. Basically Neom with cars.

What's the 9 story as of right you mentioned?

The most frustrating thing about living in Toronto is the sole method of densification is 'What if Neom, but with single family homes instead of a desert, and massive car infrastructure running right down the middle of the line?'

We only ever build housing in straight lines along major arteries.

About a year after switching to skirts full time, someone reminded me 'hey, didn't you run a fashion blog featuring boys in skirts when you were at UW?'. I had entirely forgot. :/

A wise lady (@holdenkarau.com) taught me many years ago that pants were the devil. Sadly that it took me a decade after that to realize they were optional.
