I'm currently cooking up PicoIDE, a hardware IDE/ATAPI emulator, launching on Crowd Supply: https://www.crowdsupply.com/polpotronics/picoide
I also made PicoGUS: https://picog.us
Also on Fedi at https://chaos.social/@polpo
In Colorado, USA

He's doing a bit about the measurement units - people have given him a hard time about not giving metric conversions because he's American, so he's happy to point out it's not the only country with weird customary units.

I'm glad I got the chance to play Death Race in the early 90s at the Coin Op museum in St. Louis. Thinking back, the place was way ahead of its time, and it didn't last long. It was the first place to really put the idea in my head that old games needed preservation www.coinop.org/features/coi...

I sure hope not! SCT is an industry defined protocol and I am using the vendor-defined area for its subcommands. No weird drive health values will be seen.

The nice thing is that this uses the same high level command protocol used by the front panel screen & web interface, so once I had the underlying SMART transport working, hooking up the commands was a breeze. I love it when a plan comes together
