Pollination Ecology Workgroup at the University of Tartu is interested in the relationships between plants and the insects that pollinate them, studying their interactions from gene flow of plants to plant-pollinator interaction networks.

This study shows that for effective conservation of plant-pollinator networks a landscape wide approach is needed and that network characteristics are likely to depend less on patch size and connectivity, but rather on functional diversity and structural heterogeneity.
