Here's another small update in Time Foray. Using shaders in #GameMaker I added a cool effect when you stop the time to bring your future-self to the present. I think it improves the previous effect which was just showing a translucent layer, what do you think?

New gimmick in Time Foray, I tried to implement it before but I didn't quite get it to work, but now I got back to it and made it function as I intended
Also yeah, Macky now has a voice.

This is what playing Time Foray with a mouse looks like now that it's implemented (controlling the crosshair with the mouse, switching characters with the wheel).
I've been remaking the background as well as you can see.

Here's some small visual improvements I made in Time Foray. Now there's idle animations so it feels less rigid, the time cracks have a glowing effect, and Macky herself can glow as well when you hold the time travel button before entering a crack.

I heard you can #PitchYaGame today!

I'm making Time Foray, a 2D pixelart puzzle platformer where you control a girl with the ability to travel back in time, which she can use to cooperate with herself to overcome obstacles creating interesting paradoxes. Demo links in reply, full game will be free.

Based on feedback from the Time Foray demo, now restarting a level is quick and seamless, skipping the title and animations.

After addind the par in the level title, it looked a bit awkward to me, so I changed it in a way that makes more sense and also makes it look cooler.

Time Foray update: I'm currently working on changes based on feedback I got from the demo. Now the par of each level is shown in the beginning and in the pause menu, which has multiple tabs now, and allows you to change the options outside the main menu.

It's important to adjust the parameters when developing a platformer (or any type of game for that matter) so that it feels good to control while keeping close to what you want to achieve.
