There are four main sources. Here's what each one should send:
Community Networks: - Generic pills that are typically manufactured in India - Equivalent to pills approved in the United States, but the US FDA does not oversee their production or quality. - Option to receive pills in foil blister pack or repackaged without labeling (in unmarked prescription bottle or small sealed pouch). - Different services send different amounts of miso (8, 12, or 16 tablets). Websites that sell pills: - Generic pills that are typically manufactured in India - Equivalent to pills approved in the United States, but the US FDA does not oversee their production or quality. - Sometimes inside a small cardboard box and sometimes just in foil blister packs. - Usually, one mife tablet and at least 8 miso. Sometimes 2 packages of 5 pills (totalling 2 mife, 8 miso.) US-based Online Clinics US FDA approved medications from an authorized distributor International Online Clinics: - Generic pills that are typically manufactured in India - Equivalent to pills approved in the United States, but the US FDA does not oversee their production or quality.

How Different Service Package Abortion Pills: A visual guide Different services ship different pill types. These images are examples, but pill shapes, colors, brands, and pill markings can vary, so orders may look different. The outer packaging will not show that there are abortion pills inside. Plan C does regular "mystery shopping" to test services that mail pills. Over the past 10 years of testing, we have never received any products that appear to be fake. Our period lab testing of products has shown that pills provided by the services listed on our website have the correct active ingredients and are of acceptable quality. Most services ship 1 mife plus at least 8 miso. Prodivers or the M&A Hotline can provide guidance on how many pills to take (and what to do with any extra pills). If you need support to self-manage your miscarriage or abortion, call or text 1-888-246-2632. All texts and phone calls at confidential, private, and secure.

Last week, 15 Republican Attorneys General called on Congress to ban shield laws. So we'll use this news cycle as a reminder — abortion pills are available through telehealth in all 50 states, including these 15 red states.

We know intuitively that state bans lead to barriers for abortion-seekers, but this study from AJPH did the research on travel time, costs, and more, pre- and post-state bans. Unconstitutional, ineffective bans don't stop abortions, but they do waste a lot of patients' time and resources.
