Some enemies will under go transformations after they move. The vagrant (who normally moves in 4 directions) will become the wolfman after moving. The wolf man will teleport to a random corner tile then transform back into the vagrant. #gamedev #pixelart

All abilities allow you to manipulate the board without consuming a turn. Jump allows you to move to any free tile. Shield allows you to turn your triangles into crosses (crosses beat triangles, crosses also beat crosses if it's your turn), Shout stuns all enemies on the same row. #gamedev #pixelart

Do you have a seemingly unwinnable puzzle? You can use spells (one per round) to get different effects without using a turn. Jump lets you move to an free tile on the board!

If you move onto a enemy tile and your arrows touch, you defeat the enemy on that tile. If you touch the side of a card that has an X on it, you're automatically defeated. The same rules apply on the enemies turn too. I was kind of inspired by triple triad / turnament

Hyper Balls direction is changing slightly. It's going to be a caravan mode styled arcade game where you have to get the most kills within 5 minutes of play. The player having to clear each round in 11 seconds wasn't translating to users properly. #gamedev #pixelart

Done some visual updates to hyper ball recently. Little shapes fade in and out in random patterns on the grid now. I still need to communicate when you go up a level more clearly. Communication with the player still seems to be the biggest issue with this game so far. #gamedev #pixelart

Cleaned up the HUD today. Removed the place holder crown and just slapped a "level" and score there. Now I need to fix the timer side. #gamedev #pixelart

Current enemy distribution in Hyper ball so far. I feel like.. I'm missing something. Like at least two potential enemies. I was thinking of one that teleports you to a random tile but that ruins the flow way too much.

Every 10 levels. your next ball to pop is a fruit. They'll give you a big score boost and it's also a mark of your achievement haha!

Hyper ball now has 100% more Hyper Juice in it. There's still some things that need to be communicated better (like the player getting a shield when you go up a stage) and other things. #gamedev #pixelart

Hyper ball! You play as a small spiky dude , that jumps between nodes to pop ball shaped monsters. The directional buttons always take you to the corresponding node , but the trajectory of your travel changes based on what node you jump from. #gamedev #pixelart

A doodle for a simpler version of the game. The runes on the board boost your stats / give you items At a HP cost. Swords: Boost attack , Shield, protects you from the next damage instance, potion, gives you a healing potion (you can store 3) , stars = direct boss damage. #gamedev #pixelart

Boss encounters can be.. very quick lool! I need to work on showing the damage you're taking / the damage you're dealing a bit more clearly. It's a bit annoying as turns in "battle" happen simultaneously
