Think we can be unbiased from this side of the pond. The democrats might be ineffective and Biden should have withdrawn much earlier but there only one cult and you are a fully signed up member. Go back to X.

In 2017? Should have been lifted last year but wasn't "forced through" by her it was introduced by Osborne and the Tories.

No need for apology, just an Americanism. I disagree about losing the dressing room though. We've no idea.

Locker room! Do you mean the dressing room? The answer is almost certainly no. Spence was awful and Van de Ven had his worst game for Spurs. Not suprised they wanted to get off quickly.

Hang on a minute. English? 47% of us voted remain, pretty much the same as the Welsh. Even in Scotland 38% voted Leave.

Not sure a section on a website as to the theoretical process offers much hope. You might have it, I haven't.

You are correct up to the last point. Germany's reliance on Russian gas!
October 21, 2025 at 7:47 AM
So what's your suggestion and what option does he have? Germany would no more want us to rejoin than Brexit be a success.
October 21, 2025 at 7:45 AM
All reasons why readmission in the short term won't be accepted even if the EU were prepared to consider it. Leaving was an horrendous mistake and rejoining will be decades away if the EU continues to exist then.
October 21, 2025 at 7:41 AM
Well that's not happening quickly then. Independence would take years and so would admission to the EU if and when Scotland and Wales met the criteria and if the EU agree.

Really. Thatcher, Johnson and Truss immediately spring to mind.

Strange that the flag waving "proud to be English" patriots don't think study of the one enduring thing we've given to the world has any value. Having said that their contributions to social media suggest they haven't quite mastered the basics of language never mind literature.

Not even vaguely possible now. Will take years before the EU would accept it and whilst Farage is riding high they wouldn't even consider it.

In these photos of Farage, Nathan Gill and Cottrell, it's interesting that Gill has got a friendly hand on Cottrell's shoulder.

Cottrell is a convicted fraudster who is an expert in criminal money-laundering. Why was the Russian asset so friendly with the money-launderer?

You didn't. You just chose to misinterpret the point of the article which in any case was marked as opinion. The reference to flags was just to make the point that the obsession with them doesn't put food on anyone's table or heat their homes.

And when was the Guardian ever a paper not for the liberal minded middle class. Mostly state educated as a guess though.

So the cost of living isn't an issue?

Not sure that's what she meant at all. Seems she realises he comment would result in likes of you being triggered. She was right about that!

Definitely a the theme. Anti trans, anti Corbyn and anti Gaza it seems. The latter is cobblers, Corbyn is questionable and my problem with the latter is the assertion that facts are involved when it's mostly reporting. I think the law needs changing in favour of trans rights but that's not a fact!
October 7, 2025 at 3:57 PM
I'm not sure that a paper's views are those of any one writer and the suggestion that those views or those of others are or aren't facts isnt correct either. They are opinions. I don't agree with her or transphobia generally but don't see her views as being typical of the papers.
