I like drawing soft characters because it makes me happy, but I do like to challenge myself too!

Refining her uniform took a lot of time and help.

The “Queen Leanne” persona came from the name, and helped fill out the character.

Purple was made her colour because it is royal.

Trying to make her boyish but still feminine was a challenge but I think we got there.

She’s the most fun to write!

Leanne was created to have another female bandmate. My friend suggested she be more androgynous, as Mika was very feminine.

She was made a cyborg because I wanted an OC who could take her head off… not sure why.

Leanne is a reference to a friend. Queen is a reference to the band!

Mostly in terms of design the rest is just refining what was already there.

Writing him was a challenge but I actually figured out what I want for the character and what I want to explore.

Him being from NY was a ref to Joseph Joestar.

Him being a drummer was a reference to Mick Fleetwood.

Fleetwood was inspired by Jojo! It’s where his name being a band and tall, muscular figure came from.

His colours were taken from Dio.

I gave him a beard because his face looked naked.

I made him a gentle giant because I love that character type!

From the start she was meant to have a tummy roll, but as I leaned into the idea of body positivity and general attraction to larger ladies, she… grew to match.

She went from tummy roll, to chubby, to BBW. I’m very happy with how she looks now, as I think it’s very important!
