Wanted something fresh for dinner, so we made burrito bowls. Not featured: carne asada and white rice. It was so satisfying to make something tasty and fairly healthy. 😊

Now, they cool for a couple of hours. This is the part that gives me the teeniest bit of anxiety, because you don’t know how the bread actually turned out, until you cut it.

As someone who absolutely hated it as a kid, this is the ONLY one I can tolerate. It’s like cream cheese with teeny tiny bits vs those big chunks. Texture is key, here. Double cream for the win.

I kept myself busy tonight by making my own tortilla chips and guacamole. Then, I moved on to my sourdough bread and started the dough for bagels. Everything is proofing and will be ready to bake tomorrow. I pray this round turns out better than the last. I am determined!

I knew I wasn’t crazy. And when black women collectively speak out about an individual, it would be great if people didn’t lecture us about giving them a chance anyway. No. Stop it. Maybe start holding men like this accountable, so they can do better. I can’t stand an enabler.
