A nice photo of Troy.
I did a lot of #closelens #trailcamera work through the summer.
#troypm
Really good footage!
The big female on the carcass is boss, she's been feeding for 6 days.
The male only arrived today.
He knows his place.

Camouflage clear netting..
It was worth a punt for £12.

The side I look through is quite 'clear' the view from the camera isn't as clear.
I'm actually quite happy with it.
Only a 10 minute test this morning!
This is one of my marten sites.

Still only 1 lone #buzzard and a mouse have paid a visit.
So far!
The Buzzard is having a proper feed the past two days.
It tried to break into the proper meat, at the hind leg, it can't.
It's eating from the head area. (car hit) open...

Anybody tried this type of netting?
December 2, 2025 at 9:10 PM
As usual a #buzzard is first on the #carcasscam

I don't think I've shared this on bluesky.. a phone memory!

A #Jay imitating a few things including a tawny owl.
This is still my phone ringtone,I love it!

Nice clip of #Chaos
Unusual for martens to pants like this.. I've been watching him though, nothing seems untoward, in his surroundings anyway.
Watching him live on my phone.. canny beat it!

Here, fill your boots and have a good laugh at my antics today.🤗

I was tired pulling that bloody deer up a mountain😁
I better get eagles!!!!
November 30, 2025 at 3:57 PM
The carcass cam is all set.
Just need a bit of luck to attract the #eagles #ravens..
November 30, 2025 at 3:04 PM
What a beautiful morning to trail the deer up the hill to try and get #eagle footage.
Wish me luck, I'll need it.🤞

These are nice...
Hoppers, amber and fiery brown.
I've ribbed them with organza. seals fur body, pulled out.. #flytying hoppers are a really good fly for our Scottish lochs.
November 29, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Still lots of daylight visits, quite unusual! I'm watching him just now...
November 29, 2025 at 2:46 PM
#Eagle food..🤞

Not as boring as it looks😁
Running #trailcameras off of 12v batteries.
I've done it for years, it saves an absolute fortune.
However, I bought this generic stuff to fit my old browning. It also fits the naturespy.
Really cheap from amazon..
Happy happy tonight!👌

We attended the annual UK Wildlife Crime Enforcers conference this week & met some fantastic people working hard for wildlife. We also had a few interesting chats about potential new projects/partners...plans are already underway with some of them. We'll tell you more when we can!

This is out of my comfort zone.. a pink fly.
It's a bibio, well a pink organza bibio.. a one of a kind I'll wager😋
I like it..

I knew i was being watched👀

I looked around, this was just an hour ago...

Might be of interest 🤔
Organza not usually used for tying flies.
I absolutely love the affect. I had a play last winter, I'll have a proper go and test next season. I mean, they'll absolutely catch trout.
#flytying easy to use as well.👌

A big male right on the tail of one of the females this afternoon. I don't recognise his bib, but he knew to check the feeder.🤔
Maybe just the angle that's throwing me..
November 25, 2025 at 5:32 PM
Black hoppers have been one of our best flies for 30 years. I did a muddler version today, I've never tried/tyed them before. I Really like these.. 12, 14, and 16's. The hoppers fish great when black midge are hatching.

I intentionally stopped naming my martens, it's difficult when they stop visiting 😢
I'll make an exception, i shall name him Chaos.
After a malamute that befriended me while we met, walking in the woods. He passed away in the summer 😭
The dominant male, Chaos👇
