Mildly bemused engineer, also husband, father, railwayman. Definitely liberal and drifting leftward on a daily basis. He/Him
Tried to go as far back as possible. I wear glasses and have more grey hair, also I think I would definitely do myself a serious injury if I tried playing any full contact sports again.

Also I was really hung over here.

Finished model, still needs painted and transfers. See how the cat gets in the way of that

Oh you want to build this model do you. There may be a tax involved. Now see the fridge....

We now have a Cat. This is Roxie who we adopted today. She seems to be settling in and exploring the house but not posing for picturess

Update, I did take a photo, I feel the farm foods in the background really sets it off. Oh and yes, it does indeed have the "we fought a war to keep slavery" flag on the roof.

If you see this, quote this post with a title screen that's iconic to you

Here’s one that is Star Trek and Transformers.

Hang on I don’t think I read the e-mail properly

Also this might be a very subtle swipe at another well known SF franchise

Was gifted the Lower Decks choose your own adventure graphic novel "warp your own way" and it has been a lot of fun. Have I had multiple fingers marking pages? yes, have I sometimes ended up on an entirely disconnected page? Also yes.

Or with some minor rearranging of my shelf he is now wondering why bumblebee has brought him a small angry space marine.

Looked up and someone who isn't me has transformed hot rod in a way that makes him look sad

Have been going to the gym. I don't know if my T-shirt fits with the general gym atmosphere.

Finally finished this space shuttle model. First UGears kit I've made and it was definitely challenging. Not through any fault of the kit, instructions were clear but it might have been slightly beyond my ability. The moving parts definitely have mixed success.

So I built this fairly simple Enterprise C model kit a while back and the painting guide does say I should just do the Nacelles, Bussard collectors and deflector dish and use the transfers for the rest, I think I should at least put on some form of base coat.

I still have to build the stand but it also has this really cute Hubble space telescope.
February 16, 2025 at 6:17 PM
So alongside painting Warhammer stuff I've also tried to bring back my other childhood hobby of making model kits. Been working on this model of the space shuttle discovery. It has mechanisms which I have absolutely failed to get working. In the bay is a working manipulator arm
February 16, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Extra non Warhammer stuff, here are some of the Star Trek adventures minis. Still not got the skin tones right and the plastic these are made of is really hard to glue and doesn't take paint well. Not saying I wouldn't buy any again but would have to think about it
February 16, 2025 at 6:13 PM
And some other figures from a company that 3D prints stuff. In this case a legally distinct predator and a female cyberpunk/cad bane plus 3 kobolds in a trenchcoat.
February 15, 2025 at 2:11 PM
So the spiky boys have a base coat and not much else, and my painting isn't good, clumsy sausage fingers and caffeine shakes definitely aren't a great combination for precision work. But some stuff I have painted, here is a Space marine commander and a venerable dreadnought.

A rather familiar priest in murder she wrote. I wonder if he got advice on how to play a priest from a known charlatan who had positioned himself as an expert on Catholic clergy.
