Wasn't fully able to finish the solo project for a #GMTKJam , but I finished putting up the models I made for it for free. I will be adding more to it, as I spend the rest of the week fully finishing the game.

Everything is finally in place after 2 weeks of working on the backend, I can start creating each area, more monsters, more items, more npcs.

Just need to create stuff; Like this outside scene transition and these lil gooby babies.

Seeing the work put into the Monster's AI/State Machine for Amnesia: The Bunker is what inspired me to consider re-working Balm into a roaming boss/encounter.

40 states for a statemachine is beautifully insane. He has around 20k lines of code for his AI logic. That's absolutely mad.

I originally wanted three major bosses before the final boss of the game; But I'm considering reworking "Balm" into a roaming Mr. X/Nemesis style encounter throughout the game.

What do you guys think? This increases scope unfortunately. So It's not a priority or guaranteed change.

Taking this screenshot for a before/after 5 months from now.

I'm really a fan of seeing the entire world/game early on to set scale, and atmosphere. The game is instanced zones, but you can always see the surrounding areas.

Final Fantasy 9 remake when? #FF9 #FFIX25th

Happy 25th Anniversary to one of the core games that shaped me as a game designer. It was also the first game that introduced me to Yoshitaka Amano, and Nobuo Uematsu.

From there it was just a rabbit hole.

Head tracking in Godot is incredibly easy, and it looks very creepy on this goober.

I plan to add kind of "pack tactic" as part of this goblins state machine, and make goblins smarter/harder to fight in numbers.

Preview for my next game jam entry, the theme is Tiny World.

Gamplay will take up to 1HR, dependant on your reaction time; due to the combat type. Will probably be drawing all the sprites tonight. Currently they are all my dummy-sprite for the main bloodline lol. ☕

WIP: Called "52 seconds". The hardest part is done, it recognizes, and checks poker hands each card selected. Probably the most complicated thing I've coded all month.

Should be finished by Sunday and; as that's the Jam deadline lol.

Made this prototype, and character model last night.

It's going to be a dark fantasy RPG monster collector set on Earth after the rapture, called Blood For Father. It's a dual protagonist game, so I'll probably make the other character next week.
