A prewar 226E that has been passed down to me through the generations. It hasn’t run in roughly 25 years, but I have done my best to at least keep the loco in good cosmetic shape. One day I’d like to be able to set up some track and get her going again.

At any rate, I need to echo what I'm seeing a lot of other people say. This may be my choice for Super Ed's basis (and apparently a lot of you did the same), but it is NOT *the* basis. You are free to interpret him however you like.

I need to emphasize that I simply chose this basis for the story I’m writing (which should be ready very soon), simply because it gave me material to work with for my take on Super Ed. I doubt if this was David’s vision for the character—or if he even had a basis in mind.

It’s all about presentation. The very basic, barebones concept of a diesel getting electrocuted is workable IMO. But the way it’s done in the draft is hot garbage, and virtually everything about it besides that singular idea has to be tossed.

Also appreciate that the ground collapsed pretty much IMMEDIATELY beyond the board in the pilot—in the final episode he’s able to travel a fair bit before falling
