Archaeologist and historian; thinking of Romans every single day.
The Limes, heritage management, small finds, GIS, politics and armed conflict ab urbe condita until now. And more.
Matching fragments, but with shells possibly a no-go;
Composition of the complex, if there is more than one species present you could compare percentages;
If the shells themselves are not suited for analysis, maybe secondary elements or chemical changes identifying the original location?

I would endorse a ‘go-fund-me’ initiative for a couple more.

9 hours sleep, in one night, uninterrupted continuous, in your own comfortable bed??
Wake up! 6 is good, 4,5 seems to be ok, and once you get older-which we hope-, expect this to be normal. And dozing off in the afternoon. And after dinner.
9 hours is the realm of puberty. You’re a grown-up now…

Naaktlopers is the correct spelling. With a t.

But yeah, religion is a source of many curious activities, notions and concepts.

I used his work on pre-industrial cities to understand the Roman cities, their functions and more!

Not so. First of all, historical sciences (I include things like archaeology) are sciences. In America science is used for a limited number of subjects.
They operate with a different set of methods to achieve results. Google hermeneutics for texts and interpretations.

Prehistorians: too much theory, not enough facts.

Sigh.

On another note: texts like these are also known here as divine texts: ‘just believe it, because I wrote it’: no footnotes, no literature, no evidence or even a hint at some other possibility or even acknowledging the possibility of doubt…

Nearest parallel is from Trier.
And there are of course more costly versions in metal as well. But a great find from a vicus just several kilometres (or leugae 😉) south of Nijmegen.

You don’t have too many books, you just have not enough shelves.

Wenn dies so wäre, dann wird das der Grund sein warum der Artikel 5 nicht funktionieren wird. Und das mit der EU eben auch nicht.

primary reaction: they wrongly equate studying religion with being religious, or (only) for the religious.

After reading the article: it’s about surviving academia. Or, as people outside academia would call it: work.

Nee, maar wel hoe makkelijk genoemde Prigozjin naar Moskou kon doorstoten. Met een paar goede mech. brigades…
wie weet.

“Robust”? The American public health system is mediocre at best compared to most civilised countries, like Canada or in Europe.
That said, it should be improved instead of ruined.

Well, Mommsen won a Nobel for literature in 1902…
