Living the car-free dream in Philly. Philly public school parent. Brompton Bicycles are the ultimate urban life hack. I only really care about Philly issues; it’s not my job to provide context to my posts for non-Philly folks.
I struggled to decide which one to wear today. I guess I picked the right team. In reality, the nice thing about being fans of both teams is that I would’ve been happy for whoever won.

Great to see AJ Brown have a good game.

I stopped by the SEPTA holiday pop up store and got a photo with Paws! 🥰

McDonald’s ad targeting is drunk and racist this morning. I’m not Chinese!

Beautiful new red bus/bike lanes! I’m a huge fan of these on streets where there isn’t room for a separated protected bike lane.

Arguably should do this on Washington Ave, especially as the 64 bus is going high frequency with the revamped bus network.

Love the sarcasm in these Reddit replies about this article...

I made my kid go to school even though he’s recovering from the flu/cold. He has an audition for the All City orchestra that he can’t make up. 😢 He’s going to have to go Michael Jordan and pull out a flu game performance.

Fortunately we still have a stash of masks so he doesn’t get others sick.

It was my dog Springsteen’s lucky day. We ran out of dental treats and PetSmart has a buy 3, get 2 free sale so I stocked up to try some different varieties.

I told him to pick one to try first and it seemed like he understood the task. 😁

Best place to get Korean food in all of Philadelphia. H-Mart Philadelphia food court.

Philly born and raised need to stop blaming “transplants” and “new Philadelphians” for everything they think is wrong with the city.

I’ve met so many people through various social and advocacy groups who didn’t grow up here and are doing so much to make this city better.

I'm not a sports economist by any means but I'd love to see someone with some knowledge of how to make stadiums happen suggest some options for creating a soccer-specific stadium in the South Philly sports complex. There's clearly enough land, so that's not the blocker.

New coffee from Kuma Coffee in Seattle. Single origin from Guatemala. My sister sent me coffee from her local roaster for my birthday. 🥰

I love living a few blocks away from Hung Vuong, but since it’s primarily Chinese and Vietnamese, it sometimes doesn’t have Korean or Japanese ingredients and products I need.

I was worried they stopped carrying takuan because they didn’t have it for months but it reappeared on the shelves! 🙌🏼

I know the Inquirer doesn’t have control over ads in their app but I wouldn’t mind seeing more ads like this! 👍🏻

AJ Lee and Blue Summit, Ardmore Music Hall

And I almost always stop at Tired Hands when I come to Ardmore.

Tonight at Ardmore Music Hall! AJ Lee and Blue Summit

I always feel compelled to take a photo of this when I go to Ardmore.

Ardmore! In big letters to let you know you’re in the right place.
November 16, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Ardmore Music Hall is the only music venue in the suburbs I’ll go to because it’s so easy to get there via Regional Rail. Actually faster to take the train than drive!

And if you have a monthly pass, it’s free on the weekends. All Regional Rail trips are free on weekends with a monthly pass!

Kinda annoying SEPTA switched tracks for the Paoli train 1 minute before arrival. Almost missed the announcement because I had my earbuds in and had to run up and down to the other track but I made it!
November 16, 2025 at 10:10 PM
I’m sorry if your Regional Rail train is late. I’m just glad mine is the one that’s on time. 😏

Watched The Botanist at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival last night.

Beautiful film set in Xinjiang. Interestingly not about Uyghurs—main characters are a Kazakh boy and Han Chinese girl.

Reminded me of my trip there. The most beautiful place I’ve ever been.

Greater Center City (Tasker to Girard, river to river) only grew 24% between 1990-2020. It probably doesn't help that so much of the city outside of Core Center City is zoned RSA-5 (single family, yellow in image) or RM-1 (multi-family, orange in image), both with max heights of 38ft.

One of my 2025 resolutions was to go to 12 concerts, an avg of 1 per month. I didn't think it'd be that hard, but it's going to come down to the wire.

For 2026, I'm going to reduce my target to 6. I already have 1 in the queue with Camera Obscura announcing a Jersey City show in May!

While Hoboken's gotten a lot of press recently for its Vision Zero success, few people talk about its success in growing its population almost 2x between 1990 and 2020.

This is incredible growth in a relatively short period of time for an established Northeast city.
