We all love a new hillfort, or in this case fortlet. Identified recently in #Herefordshire from LiDAR as part of work for Forestry Commission.

A multi-vallate fort overlooking a blind valley.

I stopped on my commute home last night to take time with a view. A hare and a red kite were my only witnesses as the traffic thundered over my shoulder. Sometimes, making and taking little spaces of time have unexpected consequences - it's just about giving yourself the permission to say that's OK

Just had a massive singing hinnie for breakfast, a pan cooked dense griddle scone made with lard and sweetness coming from sultanas. Utterly delicious (with a good deal of inner squidge).

Not sure I have room for second breakfast cinnamon buns, might need to wait for elevensees

Been sent a video of the band 'Marching' in a ramshackle way up the High Street in Welshpool. I would say enjoy ...but ... that might be a step too far

(ps I don't know my left from right)

I then wandered over to #SnodhillCastle and the excavation team there. Fascinating work unpicking the medieval history and finding a new Romano-British farmstead underneath with fine pottery.
