Rachel Reeves on #C4News saying Labour are now lifting 450,000 children out of poverty by removing the two child benefit cap

So an admission that Labour kept 450,000 children in poverty for the past year because they didn't care enough about child poverty to lift them out of it last year

Interesting! What we're seeing with all this new data is that the Brexit damage is only getting worse as time goes on. Companies aren't "adjusting", they're either leaving, downscaling or going under. From manufacturing to services to culture to farming and fishing, the decline is snowballing.

Whilst Scotland has the .scot top level domain (TLD), and Wales .wales and .cymru, there has never been an application for an England TLD.

That's because .uk is used instead. Thus continuing the prejudice that the UK = England.

English identity really is in a mess.

If so she should be writing her resignation email now

I pay 1% more tax than my colleagues in england doing the same job.

That 1% ensures that the lowest earners in Scotland pay less tax and take home more money.

I am happy to do this.

I am happy to pay a little bit more tax so that the poorest in society see some benefits.

What would convince you to give it up, and let people like this take control of our finances and our land and waters?

Not a damned thing, so why accept being ruled from another country?🤔

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.

Reeves has ruled out a Scottish independence vote - ever. There starts to be an international law case for secession from the UK if democracy is constantly denied Scotland &UK policies repeatedly diminish Scotland’s wellbeing, for instance in closing Grangemouth refinery whilst supporting English.

So, if I get this right, the UK Labour Gov's EV policy is to penalise people who need to drive longer distances in their electric cars. 3 miles in a city, fine. 25 rural miles to go to the nearest supermarket, hammer them hard. Do these people never think things through properly

Pure colonist attitude. If a London based Government treats Scotland like we are a colony, then we have, in effect, become one in the modern era. The Union is now not equal. This should annul that original agreement.

She is being very clear? There will be no vote on independence? This is not nor ever been a union. It is a typical colonial, arrogant attitude of England who are too afraid to go independent themselves because they don’t have faith in the country to stand on its own two feet.
