I love this amazing beautiful planet.
Garden with passion. Ecology, wild places, climate, nutrition, origami art. Introspective. Mindful. Live with gratitude. Former science teacher, traveler. Politics blue. Try kindness. Photos mine unless reposted.

Here is a look at my backyard from a previous year. Photo is taken from the top of a berm at the rear of my lot, looking down towards the house. Almost all of this was grass when I moved here. Now it’s almost all cultivated. Things have been rearranged a bit since then but the layout is the same. 🌱💙

It’s just starting to get pretty outside.

The very beginning of a long duration snowfall. ❄️❄️❄️

Crazy me, I’ll probably be out there later, freezing my fingertips off to get a photo.

Late yesterday afternoon, I went for a walk past a small shop, run by a man who lives alone. He seldom has customers.

I went in, and there he was by himself, so glad to have company. He told me he spent Thanksgiving alone with his cats and a pizza.

Reach out. You never know who needs you. 💞

Good morning Bluesky!

I hope the holiday has refreshed you and renewed your spirit!🤗
I’ve been away a while and will start catching up on your posts and replies. 🧡🌟

Meanwhile, let the Winter Games begin!

Oh, not those games!⛷️⛸️

The 10-14 inches is snow we’re expecting today. ❄️🌨️

Two very different trees are holding hands in friendship.

A nice thing to contemplate on Thanksgiving eve. 🫶

Good morning Bluesky!

The rooster has decreed that it’s time to rise and shine!

On this Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for a warm house and enough to eat.

Whatever you’re doing today- working, traveling, cooking, walking in the woods…put a song in your heart and be happy. 🎶❤️

When the headwinds of life are blowing, and you feel alone, stand your ground. You’re beautiful. You may look fragile but you’re stronger than you think. Stronger than they think. You got this!

Cold drizzle, rain, and snow are on the way.

I think this calls for a dose of bright summer cheer.

Here’s to summer. ☀️🥂

A gentle milkweed for your Monday.

Amid the craziness of travel, shopping, cooking, cleaning, dealing with relatives, etc, please do two things. First, take care of yourself. And then, consider those who are alone, grieving, ill, hungry, troubled, and in need of kindness.

Have a good week. 🧡
