First game of the day was Age of Galaxy 2E.
This is what I think i wanted Imperial Settlers to be. Very snappy abstracted 4X game that felt really strategic. I normally don’t like the “manage your entire game with only 7 cards” genre but this one was a hit.

I don’t love traveling, and like driving even less. HOWEVER
I DID SEE A FOX TRY AND FOLLOW A PIZZA INTO MY HOTEL.

It’s a gaming sunday and the first game is Bug Run by Bombyx. I don’t LOVE it at two players but i could see it being an absolute chaotic blast at 4-5 players.
It’s a little splash of Cuthroat Caverns, a dash of Tokaido and the flavoring of Mouse and Mystics.

I have now officially played Vantage from @stonemaiergames.com and it has exceeded my hopes and expectations. It won’t be a game for everyone but it delivers on what it promises to deliver on and while you can make comparisons to games that have similarities, it is distinctly unique.

Tonight is Living Forest Duel! Living forest is probably my favorite lighter weight game and Duel captures the spirit and design (and the amazing art!) in a very tense two player game.
